Yesterday many people received an e-mail from Match.com saying that they have some matches waiting in their profile.

It’d be hard to blame Huawei executives if they’re feeling very nervous lately. The US has created havoc for ZTE by renewing an export ban over trade violations, potentially depriving it of its Android license and leaving it without a platform. How would Huawei avoid a similar fate? Simple: it would use its own operating system instead. South China Morning Post sources have claimed that Huawei has been developing its own mobile operating system (there are reportedly tablet and PC equivalents) ever since it and ZTE faced an American investigation in 2012. It’s considered an investment for “worst-case scenarios,” the insiders said…

I recently wandered around the RSA security conference in San Francisco, where the latest cybersecurity technologies were on display. And I came across the blue-bearded Chris Roberts, the chief security architect at Acalvio.
Roberts assumes that hackers will be able to break into just about any company. So his company makes software that allows security managers to detect the break-ins, monitor the activity of the hackers, and steer them into harmless containers for faux company information….

Microsoft is finally naming its next Windows 10 update today. [WordPress Security] PSA: Critical Drupal Core Vulnerability Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 3:13 PM

Today the Drupal security team announced a Critical severity remote code execution vulnerability in Drupal core. The vulnerability impacts systems running Drupal 7.x and 8.x, and there are fixes available. At the time of the announcement, the vulnerability was not being actively exploited, according to the Drupal team.

Our focus is usually WordPress security, but given the severity and wide impact of this vulnerability, we feel it justifies a PSA to help spread the word. If you use Drupal or know someone who does, we encourage you to spread the word, too.

You can find the full details at Drupal.org…
